THE FORM
As the poet Robert Frost wrote, 'Good fences make good neighbours'. Our rules are never gratuitous. They are in place to ensure that you and your guests have the most tranquil and productive time while at One Alfred Place.
Please observe them, and if there's any ambiguity, ask the duty manager.
INFORMALLY YOURS
SIGNING IN
We need all members and guests to sign in at reception. This helps facilitate your needs and also ensures that we can retain our high standards of security and privacy.
Please, only three guests per member unless previously arranged. This is to maintain order in the club and ensure that it doesn't become overcrowded.
Note that guest behavior is a reflection on the member, so while we encourage fun, please make sure that all your party acts responsibly.
Guests can only come 12 times a year. This is to make it fair to members.
RING TONES
We encourage the use of phones as we are a business club. However, we do request that members and guests be aware of other people's feelings, ask that noisy rings be turned down and loud conversations be toned down. Some rooms are quieter than others so please remain mindful of your circumstances and be conscious of other club users. We reserve the right to warn those who overlook this basic etiquette.
EASY DOES IT
We take great pride in nurturing our members' businesses, and we love it when members and guests meet each other to further their interests. At the same time, we don't want to create an environment like a trade fair; all hard-carding and high pressure. That's why we try to encourage a softer mode of interaction at the club. Not only does it make for a more pleasant experience, we also happen to think it's a better way of working and one that's in tune with the times.
PAPPARAZI-FREE ZONE
Some of our members are well-known, others less so. Either way, we want to protect all our member's confidentiality while at the club as well as deliver a hassle-free experience. So please - no pictures are to be taken inside the club without permission.
TRY A LITTLE TOGETHERNESS
As we are a club, we ask members to help foster a communal atmosphere. Therefore, please offer to share space with other members, even the booths. Try not to double occupy this shared space by leaving laptops unattended on tables, or coats over jackets, while you're in other meetings.
If you have a meeting of six people or more we ask you to book a boardroom, so as to free up the wider club environment.
LOUNGE WITH LOVE
We invite you to feel comfortable but also ask that you respect others. Don't sleep across seats, like in a departure lounge. Don't leave the bathrooms in a mess. Try not to put your feet on furniture. Don't leave spills unattended. Obviously, there is no smoking anywhere, as per the law. Do as you would be done by.
